To celebrate Kelowna Food Bank's 25th anniversary, CBC Radio will be hosting a live special on Dec. 2nd, called "Gratitude Lives Here". Chloe, Kyle & Company will be bringing a set of their heart-lifting, toe-tapping jigs and reels to CBC listeners to help celebrate that spirit of gratitude and giving that really does live in Kelowna! 7:45 a.m. PT with Chris Walker on Daybreak South (FM88.9 in Kelowna)

Chloe, Kyle & Ken took their fiddles and bodhran into the CBC studio to play her award-winning trio of jigs as part of Radio West's Canada Music Week feature. , Chloe's entry into a composing contest won her a paid commission to write something for Canada Music Week 2011. The world premiere of this commissioned piece will be at a gala concert at Kelowna's Rotary Centre of the Arts on Nov. 27 at 2 p.m., along with works from other featured Canadian composers.
*If you missed it on CBC Radio, you can catch "Chloe's Jig Set" on CKC's debut album "Around the World in 60 Minutes." Which, by the way, will soon be available on CD Baby and through the website, thanks to requests from fans across the ocean!
UPDATE: Chloe's commissioned work ~ Thompson Jig~ arranged for two fiddles, piano and percussion, was just announced the winning composition for her age category in this year's contest! Looking forward to what Chloe has up her musical sleeve for her 2012 Canada Music Week commission.....Stay tuned!

For her playing and adaptation of music for the Ibsen play, John Gabriel Borkman and the play by Carl Hare, The Eagle & The Tiger, in which Chloe played the violin and hardanger fiddle, Chloe has joined all the electronic files and is residing somewhere in the shelves of the National Library of Norway. She's hoping to visit in person someday!
